Who compared Silent Protest with Freedom Fight?

YSR Congress Youth Leader IV Reddy extended his complete support to Candlelight Rally seeking Special Category Status at RK Beach in Visakha on January 26th, 2017. He reminds Telugus across the World about the relentless fight by Main Opposition for SCS in the past three years. He states YCP & Jagan will always be supportive of any initiative taken up for the well-being of the Telugus.

IV Reddy believes Peaceful Protest is the most powerful weapon in Democracy as Gandhi-led Freedom Fight proved the same. 'Irrespective of parties & agendas, Telugus need to fight collectively for their rights by taking inspiration from the freedom movement which earned us Independence,' he wished.

Describing Special Category Status as a Sanjeevani for AP, IV Reddy explained what all the benefits it guarantees: 'Generally, Centre sanctions not more than 30% of grants to AP. Be it any scheme or project, States have to bear 70% of the expenditure. If accorded Special Status, Centre bears 90% of the expenditure. If the state wasn't in a position to provide the remaining 10% as well, Then Centre will come to its rescue. In addition, None of the Central Grants need to be refunded by States accorded with SCS. This applies for projects sanctioned through AIBP too. Industries will receive 100 percent Excise Duty exemption. Which eventually boosts Industrial Growth. 30% exemption would be given for investments on plants & equipment. Both existing and new Industries could avail these benefits. 3 percent interest on working capital of new Industries will be waived. Industries will receive 50% percent waiver of electricity charges for at least 20 years. Even the cost of Transportation-Insurance will fall. Lot of Small-Scale Industries will be established in rural areas. Which means, Lakhs of jobs would be created and unemployment would be addressed. All these factors result in rapid growth of Andhra Pradesh.'
