CM Chandrababu Naidu kept saying he would be making Andhra Pradesh into another Singapore or Japan or Switzerland. Recently, He appealed people of the state to lend money for the construction of World-class Capital.
Former Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao alleged Chandrababu Naidu is on course to ruin the progress of AP completely. He went on to say offering bonds to people by accepting money is nothing but an attempt to make AP bankruptcy.
IYR Krishna Rao: 'In history, People haven't benefited if a Leader moved ahead with the sole aim of building a World-class capital. When all the funds were spent on capital, Such nations had failed terribly. Crisis in Brazil is the best example. It hosted Olympics despite shortage of funds and this left a huge impact on the economy. Subsequently, Military Rule has come. Even Malaysia and Nigeria paid a huge price aiming for top class capital. These nations would have developed a lot had if the funds were used for the right purposes. Now, Chandrababu is asking people to lend money to Government instead of Banks promising more interest rate. This leads to destruction!'.
