Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a video conference with the victims of the tragic toxic gas leakage that happened in the V.V. Venkatapuram village of Vishakapatnam.

Speaking with the gas victims, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy termed the incident as painful and assured them that his government will take all the required measures to see that such sad incidents will not happen in the future.

Jagan also deposited Rs 10,000 in the bank accounts of 20,000 gas leakage victims and lauded the way authorities responded when the toxic gas leakage took place.

Talking about the PG Polymers Chemical Plant from where the toxic gas leakage happened, Jagan said that all the permissions for the firm were given during the regime of former CM Chandrababu Naidu.

All the doctors and the medical facilities which were set up in the nearby villages of the Chemical plant will be made available for one more month and a new village hospital will be set up soon.

Earlier Jagan ordered the LG Polymers to shift the styrene monomer (SM) inventory in the chemical plant along with the tanks in Vizag port also to South Korea as a safety precaution.
