Jagans Press Meet - Points Not To be Missed!
X
YS Jagan convened a press conference on Thursday to react on the statement issued by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and subsequent exit of TDP Ministers from Modi Cabinet. 'Chandrababu Naidu says he decided to exit Modi Cabinet after listening to Arun Jaitley's statement. But, There is nothing new in Jaitley's latest statement. He made the same statement on September 8th 2016 and Chandrababu didn't object it then. Had if TDP came out of NDA then itself, Special Status would have been granted by now. I appeal Chandrababu to fight for SCS wholeheartedly at least now. TDP should support YCP's No Trust Motion. If TDP comes forward to move the Motion, We are ready to support it,' he stressed.

Yuva Neta recalled how Chandrababu twisted his statements - 'Special Status is Sanjeevani - Special Status can't fetch everything - What did North East States gain from Special Status?'. Though he welcomed TDP's exit from Modi Cabinet, Jagan termed it as people's victory but he felt Ruling Party should have done that long back. He questioned, 'Why TDP is still continuing alliance with NDA?'.

Jagan told YSR Congress fixed March 21st for moving No Confidence Motion and April 6th to submit MPs resignations. He demanded all the 25 MPs in AP to support the Motion, Submit Resignations & Contest By-Election.

Reacting to Jaitley's claim that 14th Finance Commission disapproved Special Status for AP, YCP Chief mentioned 14th Finance Commission Member Abhijit Singh told no recommendation was made seeking abolition of Special Status. He added, 'Decision to accord Special Status was taken on March 2nd 2014, much before 14th Finance Commission offered its recommendations. While UPA Govt recommended Planning Commission to implement Special Status for AP, NDA dissolved it and formed NITI Aayog'.

While reacting on KCR's Third Front, Jagan made it clear whichever party accords Special Status for AP will receive the support of YSR Congress.
