In Talk: Jagan's Biggest Challenge!
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Jun 2019 8:29 PM ISTYS Jaganmohan Reddy made the whole country look at him in the first few weeks of his tenure as the Chief Minister of AP by fulfilling poll promises such Increase of Pension, Salary Raise for ASHA Workers & Anganwadis, A Cabinet like never before & Proceeding ahead with a clear vision. The real challenge for the New Chief Minister would be mobilising funds for the Welfare Schemes, Irrigation Projects and Development Programmes.
Liquor Sales are one of the major source of income for AP in the past 5 years. And now, YS Jagan is keen to implement liquor prohibition in a phased manner. This will have a massive impact on the revenue generation.
Revenue generated by Stamps and Registration Department is expected to fall due to more focus of the YCP Government on welfare schemes rather than on Infrastructure Projects and Real Estate.
To make matters worse, There is hardly any IT Growth or Industrial Growth.
Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy hinted AP Budget will be honest and practical although it's anywhere around Rs 2 lakh crore. He is confident that YCP Government will implement all the promises as they were made after studying the financial implications.
Political Observers say, It won't be easy for YS Jagan to mobilize funds for all the requirements. Special Category Status could have been a blessing but Centre isn't gonna offer it. What would he do now?
