YSR Congress boycotts Assembly Sessions
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Oct 2017 10:23 PM ISTYSR Congress on Thursday decided to boycott the Monsoon Session of Assembly starting from November 10th. Party's Deputy Floor Leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy informed media that YCP MLAs won't attend Assembly Sessions until the 21 MLAs who joined TDP are disqualified by the Speaker.
TDP Leaders tried to project the boycott of YCP in a completely different manner. Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao opined Jagan is giving a miss to Monsoon Session as he is unable to defend himself for the remarks made against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu during Nandyal by-poll campaign. He even accused YCP Leaders of colluding with Odisha Leaders to stall Polavaram Project.
Payyavula Keshav alleged Jagan took such a bold move to ensure none of the YCP Leaders hog the limelight in his absence.
Whereas, Minister Atchannaidu opined TDP is already playing the dual role of ruling & opposition. 'Why Jagan wants to conduct Padayatra when people are appreciating TDP rule? Though he visited every house, YCP lost by 16 percent margin in Nandyal by-poll,' he said.
Excise Minister Jawahar said, 'Jagan failed as Opposition Leader. He had no clue what to discuss and hence decided to boycott. He choose Padayatra to save himself from DA cases'.
Minister Kollu Ravindra accused Jagan of stopping the central funds to AP with the letter of his party MPs. He told YCP Chief lacked the moral right to conduct padayatra.
