YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy made it clear with the dharna at Jantar Mantar that he is ready to attack Centre irrespective of the consequences if AP was deprived of its rightful share.

Jagan said Congress made a blunder by not including the Special Status provision in AP Reorganisation Bill 2014. He added, BJP is fully aware of it and all the parties are equally responsible for Today's situation.

YCP Supremo alleged AP was bifurcated undemocratically and it was Congress, BJP & TDP which voted in favour of the Bill. Reminding Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley demanding extension of Special Status to 10 years in Rajya Sabha, He lashed out at NDA Government for backtracking on its promise to the people of AP. "Who should be blamed if a Cabinet resolution passed by previous government and a promise made on the floor of Parliament isn't adhered to?," he questions.

CPI National Leader Sitaram Yechury extended support to YSR Congress protest against Centre for Special Category Status. Speaking at Jantar Mantar, He recalled the manner in which CPI opposed AP Reorganisation Bill in Parliament and promised to continue the support to mount pressure on the NDA.
