Jagan Tells How AP Can Get Special Status!
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 July 2018 8:20 AM GMTIn protest against the stand of Central Government towards Andhra Pradesh, Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy gave a call for a statewide bandh on July 24th, 2018. He appealed people of all sections to take part in the bandh.
While responding on the No Confidence Motion in Parliament, YS Jagan recalled how CM Chandrababu Naidu heckled YSR Congress when the Main Opposition kept fighting for the cause in the past four years. 'Chandrababu Naidu himself diluted the movement questioning whether Special Status is sanjeevani. He was the one who thanked Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for granting Special Package and passed a resolution in Assembly appreciating Union Government. He had even passed a resolution in Mahanadu stating there is no need of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. The way in which Chandrababu Naidu handled a serious issue like Special Category Status pains me a lot,' he said.
Yuva Neta reiterated that entire Nation would have taken the demand for Special Category Status seriously had if all the 25 MPs in AP resigned at once. 'Whereas, Chandrababu Naidu decided not to take any step which irk BJP. He had a secret pact with the Saffron Party and enacting dramas after four years. Don't he knew that justice can be done to AP with Special Status? TDP MPs should resign and conduct deeksha. Special Status can be achieved only if 25 MPs fight collectively,' he maintained.
