Jagan Is Like Water on Lotus Leaf: Attached But Detached?

Every party wants to win the elections and the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh is not an exemption from this. Keeping a big eye on the forthcoming general elections, the Andhra Pradesh government had included leaders from BC, SC, and ST communities, the biggest vote banks. Giving Minister posts to leaders will not work solely and it takes extra effort to keep the political mileage intact.
To strengthen the party, the government had picked regional coordinators and unit presidents for every district. Though there are 26 districts in the state, only a few coordinators were appointed as they will be taking care of multiple districts and constituencies.
The entire process of YSRCP district regional coordinators is filled with a lot of surprises as a few MLAs who were not retained in the cabinet 2.0 like Kodali Nani and Perni Nani were given the posts. On the other hand, a few MLAs were asked to take care of the areas that are outside their constituencies.
The seniors were given high importance in the appointments. With the episode, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had proved a point that he is like water on a lotus leaf and he follows the philosophy of attached but detached.
The reason for this is that YCP Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy was not given any post as coordinator. He will look into the matters like how the work is being done by the coordinators in their respective regions. Apart from this, he was not given any plum post.
It is a big shock to everyone given the bonding and good relations YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy share. Ever since Jagan floated his party, Vijayasai Reddy has been with Jagan and after YCP rose to power he was made the Parliamentary Party Leader. His tenure is about to come to an end.
While Vijayasai Reddy was not given any coordinator post, other leaders who share a good relationship with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were made coordinators of multiple regions covering various constituencies. Maybe Jagan has other plans on how to give a plum post to Vijayasai Reddy. But as of now, Jagan is like water on a lotus leaf.
