Jagan Lashes Out At Chandrababu Over LG Polymers

The toxic gas leakage that took place at the LG Polymers Chemical Plant at the V.V. Venkatapuram village in Vishakapatnam resulted in 12 lives including two minors. More than 200 people were hospitalized and more than 2,000 people were exposed to the toxic gas directly.
As a result, many surrounding villages of the Chemical plant were evacuated as a safety measure as the toxic gas can show its effect in th radius of 3 km. AP government has announced an Ex gratia of one crore for every life claimed by the toxic gas.
To discuss the situations in the surrounding villages of the Chemical Plant Andhra CM Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a video conference with the key officials and lashed out at former CM Chandrababu Naidu who granted permission for the plant to expand during his regime.
Jagan went on to say that his government will make sure that such sad incidents will not take place in the state further and said that the company cannot function in the state.
