Jagan's key aide plans to join YSRCP
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Aug 2021 10:32 AM GMTIs Mandipalli Ramprasad, one of the key associate of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy joining the TDP? Ramprasad, who was instrumental in planning Jagan's Padayatra in 2018 and was a very important part of Jagan's overall strategy team, is said to have already met Chandrababu Naidu.
Ramprasad has already resigned from the YSRCP and has already planned his entry into the TDP. He and Chandrababu Naidu reportedly discussed the political scenario in Kadapa district. Chandrababu Naidu reportedly told him to work to strengthen the TDP in Rayachoti and adjoining areas. The news of Ramprasad's plans to leave the YSRCP has shocked the party cadre in the district. They are surprised at his decision given his proximity to YS Jagan.
Meanwhile, sources say that the differences between Ramprasad and Rayachoti MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy have grown so much that Ramprasad is finding his stay in the party utterly fruitless. Ramprasad reportedly feels that Rayachoti Srikanth Reddy is stalling his growth at every step. Ramprasad, who understand Jagan's mind and the internal happenings in the YSRCP, could prove very useful to the TDP, according to sources.
Kadapa district is among the four districts in Andhra Pradesh that did not return even a single TDP MLA. The YSRCP made a clean sweep in this district. With Ramprasad planning to leave the party, the YSRCP could be in for some serious trouble. Let's wait and see how YS Jagan handles this situation.
