Jagan seeks Ban on those Political Parties

YSR Congres president YS Jaganmohan Reddy appealed Election Commission to hold elections in Andhra Pradesh & Hyderabad (GHMC limits) on same dates to prevent people from voting twice. Whenever election takes place on different dates in neighboring states, Few people have been casting their vote twice and this is proving to be a threat to democracy.

On Thursday, Jagan met Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi in New Delhi to urge him to take back the powers of Speaker when it comes to disqualifying defected MLAs. He sought EC to bring the Anti-Defection Law under its control as Ruling Parties were mocking Democracy.

Jagan pointed out Speaker who is backed by Ruling Party won't disqualify MLAs and even the defectors won't resign fearing by-poll. He complained about the cash bags and ministerial berths offered by Ruling Party to Opposition MLAs. He also alleged Chandrababu fears seeking fresh mandate for defected MLAs will work against TDP.

In addition, Jagan appealed Election Commission to be very particular about the 10 major poll promises in the election manifestos. He asked EC to ban those parties who failed to full the promises so that they could be prevented from contesting the next elections. 'We informed EC about the false promises made by Chandrababu Naidu during the elections. None of the promises including Farm Loan Waiver, DWAKRA loan waiver, Jobs & Rs 2,000 each for unemployed youth have been fulfilled,' he alleges.

Yuva Neta told 'Save Democracy' campaign will bring the injustice done in Andhra Pradesh to the notice of people all over the country. 'We have already informed National leaders about the immoral practices of TDP Government. Very soon, We will fight for justice in the law of courts. I believe, Justice might be delayed but not denied. We have already sought the appointment of PM to report the same issue. May be, Modi denied appointment just because TDP is its alliance partner. Still, We would convey the message to PM through a post,' comments the Opposition Leader.
