Recently a 70-year-old woman who hails from the Tadepalli area of Andhra Pradesh lost her life to the Coronavirus resulting in speculations and rumors that the Tadepalli area was declared as Red Zone by the authorities.

These rumors gained a lot of significance Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's residence is located in the Tadepalli area. On top of that, Maruthi Apartment in which the old woman who died recently resides is not that far from the camp office of Chief Minister which adds fuel to the fire.

After death, medical tests were done for the lady and it is found that the woman was tested positive for the COVID-19. Including her, 15 deaths were reported in the state to date.

"Only those places which record at least four positive cases for Covid-19 will be declared as Red Zone. So far, only one positive case has emerged from Tadepalli area," Guntur collector Samuel Anand said.

Samuel Anand went on to say that all the news spreading in social media in this regard is fake and urged the public to not believe in such news and added that the Tadepalli area did not come under the Red Zone.
