CM Jagan Holds Review Meeting On Preventive Measures Of COVID-19

In the wake of the positive cases in the state rising steadily, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting with the concerned officials to review the prevailing situation.
It has been widely reported that they have discussed the sad incident that happened in Kurnool where the locals protested against the cremation of COVID 19 patient who breathed his last breath battling the fatal virus.
Following this, CM Jagan directed DGP Gautam Sawang to take strict actions on those who obstruct the cremation of people who lost their lives to COVID 19 and said that doing so is not appreciable.
"Don't panic with Coronavirus and don't treat COVID 19 infected as untouchables. The virus can be cured by taking proper medicines and treatments. So many patients are being discharged from the hospitals. Without getting recovered how can they get discharged? Please don't spread fake news and create fears," CM Jagan said.
On the other hand, the toll of the positive cases in the state stood at 1403 with 71 fresh cases of the virus reported in the past 24 hours. To date, 321 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals accordingly. COVID 19 fatalities in the state reached 31.
