Jagan's strategy to snuff out anti-government agitations

The YS Jagan Government clearly is adopting a tough attitude to put down dissidence in the state. He is coming down very hard on protesters and is making house arrests of protesters and their leaders even before they launch their protest programme. Using this method, he is snuffing out protests in the state.
He has done this to the TDP biggies and got many leaders put under house arrest. Other protesters too faced the same cases. The latest to be put under house arrest are sanitation workrs. The sanitation workers have announced that they would strike work and launch agitation from Monday. They have decided to adopt the agitational path to press for their demands.
But, even before they could organise themselves, the Jagan government began repressing them. From Sunday night itself, the main leaders of the sanitation workers union have been placed under house arres. The police descended on their houses in the night itself and placed them under arrest.
