Jagan-Vizag Seer Meet: What Transpired Between Them?

On Tuesday, AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a very interesting meeting with Vizag Sarada Peetham seer Swami Swaroopananda. This is the first that that Jagan has met some Hindu seer after the incidents of attacks on Hindu temples rocked the state. Needless to say there was huge interest on what transpired at the meeting.
YS Jagan has participated in the Rajasyamala Yagnam performed at the seer's ashram in Vizag. It may be recalled that the seer had performed the same yagam to propitiate the god for ensuing a victory for YS Jagan before the 2019 elections. Jagan participating in the same yagam again has raised curiosity levels. Sources in the know say that three major issues cropped up during the discussion between the swamy and the CM. The seer is said to have raised the issue of setting up of Hindu Dharmika Parishad, to advise the government on Hindu religious affairs. The seer is said to have told the CM that this was long overdue. The seer is also said to have advised YS Jagan to call for a meeting of Swamijis and religious heads on the issue of temple attacks.
The third major issue that cropped up was the issue of hereditary priesthood. The seer reportedly lauded YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for taking a decision on the issue. However, there are several lacunae in the implementation of the orders, he told YS Jagan.
