TDP stands for Telugu Drama Party!
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Aug 2016 6:47 AM GMTCongress Rajya Sabha Member Jairam Ramesh dared to say TDP stands for Telugu Drama Party pointing out the double standards of the ruling party over Special Category Status. He questioned, 'Why AP CM Chandrababu Naidu remain mere spectator even after BJP backtracked on the promise of Special Status for 10 years?'.
Jairam Ramesh described BJP Leaders as political opportunists for taking a U-turn on Special Status after forming the Government. He reiterates that Congress Party will continue to fight for the people of AP and ensure their rights were safeguarded.
Opposition Parties in AP lambasted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his contrasting statements in a span of 2-3 days. Soon after the debate in the Upper House, He told that his blood boiled while listening to the speech of Arun Jaitley on Special Status. The other day, He quotes 'Aritaku-Mullu' proverb after receiving a phone call from Arun Jaitley and stressed the necessity to maintain good relations with the Centre. Even TDP Union Ministers made it clear they had never offered their resignations in protest of denying Special Status. All these developments have bee giving enough scope for the Opponents to aim guns at the Ruling Party.
