The controversial documentary made by BBC on the Gujarat riots created a sensation in the nation. Not just that, other nations are also reacting to the documentary. IT raids were held at the BBC offices. The opposition parties alleged that the raids were to target the BBC.

After the raids were held at the BBC offices, a UK Minister said that the government is supporting the BBC and the news corporation is known for its fair and unbiased way of covering news. Earlier, United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that he is not fully satisfied with the way Modi's role was shown in the documentary.

Now another UK representative raised the topic and sought a response from India. The representative is in India for a key meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. During the meeting, the issue was raised as per the reports.

EAM Jaishankar who is very strong on the issue allegedly said that any entity that is operating in India should follow the rules here. Talking about the law of the land, Jaishankar told United Kingdom Foreign Secretary James Cleverly that the entities should follow the rules.

It has to be mentioned here that, earlier the Supreme Court told the Twitter representatives to follow the rules in India and were directed to coordinate with the concerned authorities here.

Now Jaishankar is said to have stressed the law of the land and told his counterpart that the entities working here should follow the rules. "He was firmly told that all entities operating in India must comply fully with relevant laws and regulations," sources in the External Affairs Ministry said.
