Why is Congress biggie K Jana Reddy upset and angry? Jana Reddy is angry because the Congress Party's candidate screening committee and the AICC bosses are not heeding to his request. And what is his request? He wants party ticket for his son Raghuveer Reddy so that he can contest from Miryalguda in Nalgonda. And the high command has so far not acceded to his request.
In fact, he tried for Miryalguda for his son even in 2014. But,, the party did not agree to it. Yet. He made Raghuveer Reddy campaign vigorously for the party candidate. This time around he wants his son to enter into the Assembly. But, the high command appears to be in no mood to listen.
Jana Reddy has reason to feel angry. Setting aside the "One Family One Ticket" principle, the party has already given tickets to three families. PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy's wife Padmavathi is already a sitting MLA like her husband. Both are likely to be renominated. Former Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and her son Karthik Reddy will contest from Maheswaram and Rajendranagar respectively. Karthik has already contested for the Chevella Lok Sabha seat in 2014. Similarly, Komatireddy brothers might get Nalgonda and Munugode respectively.
When all these can get tickets, why can't I, feels Jana Reddy.
