As per the media reports, Jangaon tops the list with as much as 60.6 percent of the population consuming liquor followed by Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district(58.4 percent), and Mahabubabad district(56.5 percent).
The three regions have the highest percentage of liquor consumers. The surprising fact is that Hyderabad has just 28 percent of liquor consumers. Even though it enjoys the highest population in the state, the capital city has fewer liquor consumers.
Looking at the total liquor consumers in the state, the percentage is around 43.3 percent. Out of every 100 women, seven consume liquor. Surprisingly, the Medak district has as much as 23.8 percent of liquor consumers of women.
