Who is funding Vijayawada & Vizag Metro Rails?

Union Government has permitted AP Government to seek funds from International Agencies for the ambitious metro rail projects in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Reportedly, The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has come forward to provide funding for the two metro rail projects. To get a clear picture of the expenditure & other requirements, A ZICA Team is already touring Vijayawada.
AP Government is of the views Terms & Conditions of ZICA were reasonable. The time period of 30-40 years for repaying the loan with an interest rate of just 3 percent is very much acceptable in Today's times.
Earlier, ZICA offered funds to the Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata metro rail projects. Even the past experience came in handy for ZICA to push other contenders out.
