What for Modi's Wife Day-Long Fast?
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Feb 2016 12:16 PM GMTPrime Minister Narendra Modi's wife Jashodaben protested against demolishing slums during the monsoon period on grounds that it will leave poor homeless and expose them to diseases.
Jashodaben and her Younger Brother Ashok Modi sat on a day-long hunger strike along with members of a local charity 'The Good Samaritan Mission' (GSM) in support of the slum dwellers. She claimed to have come to Mumbai accepting the invitation as the charity group convinced that her participation would protect slums.
Modi's Wife staged a dharna at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Friday. The first time Jashodaben visited Mumbai was in 2014 and the agenda is to see the city then. On the second occasion, She visited GSM's ashram at Vikhroli.
The Organisers say Jasodhaben's presence is equal to one crore people and compared her with Mother Teresa.
