Nobody could ignore the personal rapport shared by Jayalalithaa and Sobhan Babu. While some say they were more than just friends, others used to treat them as lovers.
Sobhan Babu used to enjoy a massive female fan following in those days. He used to make girls cope with sleepless nights. But, It's Jayalalithaa who made 'Soggadu' spend sleepless nights.
A Producer approached Sobhan Babu for a project and paid him Rs 1,000 advance after saying Jayalalithaa would be the heroine. However, Jaya's Mother turned down the proposal as Sobhan Babu is still a budding hero then.

They, however, got separated after rumours began doing rounds that they both have a girl child. There after, Jayalalithaa entered into MGR's camp and began focusing on her political career.
