No WILL! Who Gonna Get Jayalalithaa Assets?

Responding to an RTI Query, The Commercial Taxes and Registration Department (CTRD) had disclosed it doesn't have any documents regarding the Will of Jayalalithaa. And now, The Income Tax Department informed the court that the Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister hasn't written any will before her demise. Non-Payment of the taxes post the death of Jaya was brought to the notice of the Court.
I-T Department sought the permission of the court for the seizure of assets owned by Jayalalithaa. It also appealed the court to appoint a person for the protection of hundreds of crore properties belonging to Amma.
As per an estimate, Jayalalithaa owns properties worth around Rs 900 crore. She refrained from writing a will even after facing severe health issues and staying in the hospital for 70-odd days. Post the demise, Jayalalithaa's Niece Deepa Jayakumar wished to be her political successor and her Nephew Deepak Jayakumar aspired for ownership of her assets. Looks like, Neither of them will be able to claim the properties due to lack of Will.
