Jayaprada Likely To Be YCP MP Candidate

Jayaprada made her political debut in 1994 accepting the invitation from NT Rama Rao. She turned down the MLA Seat offered by TDP Leadership in that elections. Jayaprada was in Chandrababu Naidu's camp during the backstabbing episode. She was nominated to Rajya Sabha in the year 1996. Due to differences with Chandrababu Naidu, Jayaprada bid adieu to TDP and joined Samajwadi Party. She was elected as Rampur MP for two consecutive terms but faced defeat in the 2014 Elections. The Veteran Actress is getting active as Lok Sabha Polls will be happening within few months.
As per strong indications, Jayaprada has made up her mind to join YSR Congress Party. She is likely to meet YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the near future. If everything falls in place, Jayaprada would be the YCP Candidate for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha Constituency.
Jayaprada hails from Rajahmundry. Film Glamour, YCP Cadre Base, Local Tag and Caste Equations might work in favour of the Senior Actress. Jagan recently declared a BC will contest on YCP Ticket in Rajahmundry. Jayaprada is a BC. So, Caste Factor could be an advantage here.
Murali Mohan is the sitting MP of Rajahmundry. TDP won 6 out of 7 Assembly Seats in Rajahmundry Lok Sabha Constituency in 2014. Fielding someone like Jayaprada will work in favour of YCP. She could influence the voters in other districts as well.
