JP's call for reforming Parliament
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 July 2015 4:06 PM GMTLok Satta Chief Jayaprakash Narayan isn't happy with the way the first day of Parliament's Monsoon Session progressed. Due to the uproar created by Opposition over Lalit Modi issue and Vypam Scam, No discussion took place in Parliament Today and Speaker adjourned the house to Wednesday.
JP opines Parliament is for dignified debate and voting but not for mayhem & obstruction. He complains that there is no will to enforce rules of conduct in Parliament even though leaders try to paralyse the house and he found all parties guilty of debasing Democracy.
The Former IAS demands for strict enforcement of rules and suspension of leaders obstructing the Parliament proceedings. He stresses the need to reform Parliament quickly to stop India from becoming a 'banana republic'. "Government must be held to account & Parliament must legislate. We all must raise voice," he declares.
