JP To Quit Politics

As per reports JP said to have arrived at this conclusion after discussing with his fellow leaders on party's future. JP is likely to make a formal announcement very soon on this.
A former physician and a bureaucrat by profession, JP quit his job to start Loksatta movement. Since 1996, the Lok Satta Movement functioned as a non-governmental organisation, but on 2 October 2006, the movement was reorganised into a formal political party
He won as Member of the Legislative Assembly from Kukatpally constituency Andhra Pradesh in 2009 In May 2014, he contested from Malkajgiri as a Member of Parliament and lost to TDP candidate Ch Malla Reddy.JP is Presently serving as party's national president
Lok Satta Party was founded with the realisation that entering into politics is the only option to bring about fundamental changes in the system and a new political culture. JP decided to work as a NGO after quitting politics.
