Jayaprakash Narayan's U-Turn on Demonetisation

Intellectuals have welcomed demonetisation when Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his Nation's address on November 8th, 2016. They, however, has a changed their opinion following the poor implementation of note ban.
Speaking at a programme in Chennai, Jayaprakash Narayan opined, 'Though the intention behind demonetisation, It's implementation has pushed the whole country into dilemma. Parliament should have been taken into confidence before taking such a big step. I was one of the first few to welcome Demonetisation. Upon watching the consequences, I realized that Centre lacked farsightedness'.
A lot of People have immense faith in leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan. When he says something, Majority of the people who follow them agree with them believing JP is someone who cares for the society. If intellectuals like him take a wrong stand, Then what about the common man?
Former PM Manmohan Singh who worked as Finance Minister during PV Narasimha Rao's tenure described demonetisation as monumental failure within few days. Why didn't JP agree with him then?
