Former Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy declared his decision to bid goodbye to politics on Monday. 'I have been in the public life for 40 to 45 years. May be, I might have committed few mistakes apart from doing some good things. Neither did I intend to hurt anyone nor holds any grudge. I am fully content with my political career. The kind of atmosphere which was there when I forayed into politics doesn't exist now. That is why I preferred not to continue in politics any longer,' he said.

When asked his reaction on the assumption that who ever he targets will be in good position (Jagan - CM, Gorantla Madhav - Hindupur MP), JC explained: 'Never did I hated Jagan. I always have the feeling that he is 'Ma Vaadu'. Myself and YSR used to maintain good relations. A day before his death, YSR told Me that mistake has happened and promised to induct Me, Jana Reddy into his cabinet after returning from Chittoor tour. We might have difference of opinion but used to remain friendly. I have been seeing Jagan since his childhood. He is My Friend's Son..that's all'.

Regarding the reports that Amit Shah consulted him to strengthen BJP in AP, The Senior Politician refused to answer the question directly but made it clear he isn't interested in politics. He claims to be planning a campaign for election reforms with like-minded people.

On his viral video in which he was found shirt-less, JC clarified: 'It's not because I don't have any shirts or did I intend to become yogi Vamana, but because of Summer heat'.

When asked what would be his reaction if either Jagan or BJP approaches him with any offer, JC opined: 'What's the hurry...let's wait. Everybody has to be given some time. I really appreciate Jagan for certain things he did. I will be the happiest person if he establishes himself as a good CM. Whether if he become or not...It's not right to comment now'.
