Is This MP Hurting Telugu Desam?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Dec 2018 8:40 AM GMTComments made by JC Diwakar Reddy at the Dharma Porata Deeksha in Anantapur hasn't gone down well with his own party leaders. They fear the caste talk of the MP might distance few communities from the party.
JC Diwakar Reddy tried to convey to the people that both YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan are relying on their caste to get hold of the power. Will Jagan gets over 40 percent of vote share in 2014 had if he relied on Reddys alone? Can Pawan Kalyan form government if he banks on his community which is less than 15 percent of the total population?
Anantapur MP need to keep in mind that all the Reddys aren't in YCP. If he himself (being a Reddy) is in TDP, How could JC allege Jagan has been using all the Reddys for his political goal? Similarly, All the Kapus/Balijas mayn't support Pawan Kalyan. Majority of them might back Jana Sena, remaining will be supporting either TDP or YCP.
In the past, JC complained about the domination of Kammas in Anantapur TDP. Though the Kamma Vote Bank in the district is less than 5 percent, 5 TDP MLAs here belong to Kamma Community and an MLC post was also offered to a Kamma Leader. And now, JC pretends as if TDP isn't a Kamma Party.
Caste Talk of JC might distance Kapus and Balijas from TDP completely. This situation could hurt the poll prospects of the Ruling Party in 2019 Polls.
