JC talks again, says 40 TDP MLAs useless
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Oct 2018 3:56 AM GMTAnantapur MP and maverick TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy is at it again. Known for his no-holds-barred comments and criticism of his own party, JC has once again said something that the ruling TDP might find very uncomfortable. JC said that at least 40 per cent of the sitting MLAs are facing severe anti-incumbency. He said this right in Amaravati, the seat of the State Government's power. He said at least 40 per cent of the TDP MLAs need to be changed. Otherwise, the TDP is doomed, he said. JC said that while Chandrababu himself is hugely popular, a good 40 per cent of his MLAs should be removed. If these MLAs are replaced, the TDP will come back to power.
He also discounted the theories that both YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan will come together to form an alliance at the time of the elections. He said both are poles apart in nature and working style. They can never come together. They might win from their respective seats. Beyond that there would be no impact, he said.
These comments are bound to create quite a flutter in the beleaguered ruling Telugu Desam, which is already fighting deep-rooted anti-incumbency. Chandrababu, who realizes this, has been moving heaven and earth to divert the issues and create bogeys to tide over the crisis.
