What was supposed to be a cake walk for Pawan Kalyan in Gajuwaka became a tough contest in the end with both TDP and YCP taking this seat as a matter of prestige. Both the Ruling Party and Main Opposition showed how good they are with poll management. Pawan Kalyan, on the other hand, failed to match with them in this area.
Fortunately for Jana Sena Party, It's Visakha MP Candidate VV Lakshminarayana is like to emerge as a winner due to huge cross voting. Several Voters who had the history of backing TDP or BJP or YCP in the past preferred the Former CBI JD in this elections. People of Visakha found Lakshminarayana is way better than TDP's Sri Bharat, YCP's MVV Satyanarayana and BJP's Purandeswari. While Lakshminarayana have a clean image, There are serious allegations on rest of the three candidates. While Sri Bharat's Family Owned Company received hundreds of crores worth land near AP Capital for a nominal price, MVV Satyanarayana faced land grabbing allegations in the past. Purandeswari took a Pro-BJP stand instead of Pro-People stand even when injustice happened to AP during NDA Rule. All these factors worked in favour of Lakshminarayana.
People of Visakha have no alternative when it comes to Parliament Constituency. They, however, have options in the Assembly Segments and that is why Pawan could be in trouble.
