VV Lakshminarayana attained the tag 'JD' because of the high-profile cases he handled while serving as Joint-Director of CBI. This former IPS Officer had only kept confusing people with his clarity-lacking political moves since he obtained voluntary retirement.
First of all, Lakshminarayana made media and public wait for months to confirm his political entry. Thereafter, He kept everyone guessing on the party which would be preferred by him. By the time people began believing that he would float a political party, Lakshminarayana addressed the people with a joint press conference along with Lok Satta's Jayaprakash Narayan. This press meet had only confused the public even more.
JP made it clear President Election in Lok Satta happens in a democratic manner and 8 lakh party members would elect their preferred candidate. On the other hand, Lakshminarayana didn't offer clarity over his entry into Lok Satta but expressed his wish to work with like-minded people.
Netizens say, Lakshminarayana seems to be assuming that he is a strong force though he's actually not. It's just the media which helped people recognize him, or else he is like any other Government Official. May be, People should call him 'Confusion Master' instead of 'JD' from now.
