Jilted lover gets 5 years Jail for Attempt to Kill Lover's Bride

Warangal district judge sentenced a jilted lover to five years imprisonment on Tuesday for attempting to kill her lover's bride.The incident was happened three years ago and the final judgment was delivered today.
A woman named Pallakonda Mamatha (27) shocked to know that her lover Kumar (32) got engaged to her cousin Pallakonda Divyasri (23) on March 9, 2013 and the marriage was fixed for June 13 of the same year.Unable to digest the news of her lover getting married to Divyasri, Mamataha etched plan to kill her. She convinced Divyasri that Kumar earlier had affairs with various women.
She took Divyasri to her sister's on pretext of proving her words and stabbed her several times with a kitchen knife. Divyasri who suffered severe injuries managed to call her father Saraiah and also Kumar. They alerted the neighbors and rushed her immediately to hospital where doctors saved her.
Mamatha was arrested and tried for the attempt to murder. The district judge pronounced the judgement on Tuesday. The court of the district and sessions was convinced that the crime was committed by Pallakonda Mamatha (27) and awarded her five years jail and a fine of Rs. 2,000.
