Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state by the novel coronavirus as the housing minister of the state Jitendra Ahwad tested positive for COVID-19 virus who was admitted to hospital since Tuesday.

Since April 13th, the Minister was in self-quarantine following his staff members tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Going into details, a senior officer of the Mumbra city of Maharashtra went for a search for the Tablighi Jammat congregation and caught 13 Bangladeshis and 8 Malaysians.

In the process, the senior officer came in contact with the locals of the Mumbra area and it is believed that he might develop the virus from the locals. The cop participated in a meeting with Jitender Ahwad and the Minister tested positive for the virus.

As a result, the Municipal Corporation authorities have conducted tests for more than 100 persons who came in contact with the Minister and the Cop. It is believed that the virus got spread to former MP Anand Paranjape from the Minister.
