It's been seven days since Joe Biden took over the White House as the 46th President of the United States. He has been trying to leave his mark in the nation with his administrative skills.

The Indian communities living in the United States played a crucial role in Joe Biden's victory in the Presidential polls. This helped Joe Biden claim several battleground states.

After the US Congress declared him as the President, he added several Indian-Americans in his administration to increase his association with the communities.

As another breaking decision, Joe Biden left the spouses of Indian H-1B visa holders in America in a state of happiness by withdrawing the plan to end the H4 work permits.

According to the media reports, Joe Biden has taken a crucial decision to revoke the H4 work permit, which is said to be beneficial for around one lakh Indian spouses.

The new change in the H4 work permit is a major win for a major share of H-1B visa holders who have been fighting to revoke the work permit over the past few years.

Looking at the history of the work permits, the H4 visa holders were first permitted to get paid employment in 2015. The then United States President Barack Obama changed the permit system by allowing the H4 visa holders to take up the employment.

However, the spouses of H-1B visa holders faced a rude shock with the decisions of Donald Trump's administration. He has suspended the work permits of H4 Visa holders.

The issues and difficulties faced by the spouses of H-1B visa holders reached Joe Biden with the lawmakers requesting the new President to look into the serious issue.

It is said that taking the issues faced by them into consideration, Joe Biden has decided to revoke the H4 visa permits. The H-1B visa holders and aspirants include a major share of Indians.
