Jolt to Congress: 7 MLCs join TDP!

TDP has been now continuing the 'operation akarsh' which was launched by former chief minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
In Fact, TDP don't have the majority to get the Chairman's post. 9 out of 50 MLC seats have been currently vacant. So, TDP wants to attract as many existing MLCs as possible for Chairman's post.
About 7 MLCs Chaitanya Raju, Lakshmi Siva Kumari, Sheik Hussein, B. Indira, G. Srinivasulu Naidu, B. Pullaiah, Ravi Varma on Saturday joined TDP. As a result, TDP got majority and Congress fell into minority.
The AP Legislative Council sessions will kickstart from Monday. Even before the sessions could start, 8 MLCs (7 Congress, 1 YSRC) shifted their loyalties.
