Barely a day after returning to AP from Davos meet, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to fly off to Delhi on Thursday. He is likely to land in Delhi at 2 pm and hold a series of discussions with the ministers and officials of the Central Government. He is also planning to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Sources said that Jagan is likely to apprise the PM about the details of his Davos visit, where he has canvassed among the trade and industrial bodies for investing in Andhra Pradesh. He is also likely to discuss the pending arrears from the Central Government, Polavaram project status and the funding of ongoing projects.

Sources say that Jagan and his YSRCP have become quite crucial for the BJP in its plans for the upcoming presidential elections. The BJP, which falls slightly short of the absolute majority, is seeking the support of the YSRCP. Jagan is likely to discuss the presidential elections with the BJP's top leadership.

Jagan's visit is being considered significant as the state is facing acute fund crisis. The financial situation is dire and the state government is unable to even pay the salaries of its employees. Running the welfare schemes too is becoming a problem for the party. In view of all these things, the visit is being considered quite crucial.
