Kadapa MP Avinash Arrives At CBI Office For Questioning!
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 April 2023 5:22 PM ISTFor the past few days, a debate has been going on whether Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy would get anticipatory bail in the YS Vivekananda Reddy case. His petition was postponed for a second consecutive day. Amid this, the High Court gave a big relief to him by asking the Central Bureau of Investigation to not arrest him till April 25 as the petition will give its verdict on the petition.
While issuing the orders to CBI to not arrest him till the 25th of this month, the High Court also directed the Kadapa MP to attend the questioning session from today. On top of this, audio and video recording was also asked during the MP's grilling session.
Following this, Kadapa MP attended the questioning session. He went to the CBI office from his house. As per the orders given by the High Court, he has to attend the questioning daily till the 25th of this month.
It has to be mentioned here that the Telangana High Court on Tuesday said that it will hear further arguments on the anticipatory bail today. As the High Court will hear the arguments today, the MP attended the hearing.
Now all eyes are on the CBI questioning to see what the agency would gather from him. This is not the first time the CBI is grilling him. Earlier, he was questioned by the agency a few times. At the time of the previous questioning, Avinash Reddy made some strong comments and this made the court angry. The Court asked how an MP can make such comments when the investigation is going on. The Court urged him to not make such comments.
The investigating officer who is dealing with the case was changed as per the petitions filed by the accused. A Special Investigation Team was formed to look into the probe and a deadline was also put on this.
Earlier today, reports said that Avinash Reddy's father Bhaskar Reddy reportedly fell ill due to BP. However, there is no further update on whether his condition became normal or what the Central Bureau of Investigation officers will do with him.
