By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Jun 2022 1:25 PM GMTThe TDP cadre and the senior leaders of Kadapa district gave an earful to former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on the issue of admitting turncoats into the party. The leaders have strongly opposed the TDP attempts to take back those who backstabbed the party in the 2019 elections. They said that they would not work with the turncoats if they rejoined the TDP.
Somireddy called for a meeting in his capacity as the incharge of the district TDP. Several assembly and MP seat incharges were present. The incharges strongly criticized the move to take back those who backstabbed the party in the 2019 elections. Kamalapuram constituency incharge Putta Narasimha Reddy strongly opposed the re-entry of former MLA Veerasiva Reddy. He said the party would lose heavily if it admitted Veerasiva Reddy.
Kadapa district president Srinivasula Reddy strongly objected to the undue interference of Pulivendula party incharge BTech Ravi. Mydukur assembly constituency TDP incharge Sudhakar Yadav too was critical of the party leadership's attempts to admit diehard Congressman and former minister DL Ravindra Reddy. He said no TDP worker would be prepared to work with DL Ravindra Reddy.
Kadapa district TDP incharge Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy appeared quite shocked at the open revolt against these new admissions. He was told that the party would lose heavily if it admitted these leaders, The party functionaries said that the party should stand by those who remained loyal during the trying times.
