Fugitive godman Nithyananda was in the news all of a sudden after a few representations of his proposed nation Kailasa participated in the United Nations meeting. Not just that, they alleged that Nithyananda was persecuted in India and sought United Nations intervention in the row.

"I would like to clarify that I stated that the SPH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam is persecuted in his birthplace by certain anti-Hindu elements. The United States of KAILASA holds India in high regard and respects India as its Gurupeedam. Thank you," the representative said in a shared video.
"We urge the Indian government to take action against these anti-Hindu elements who continue to attack and incite violence against The SPH and KAILASA. It is important to note that these actions do not reflect the values or beliefs of the vast majority of the Indian population," she added.
Nithyananda, a self-styled godman is wanted in a few cases including rape and sexual assault cases. When the cops tried to arrest him, the godman went absconding from India. The Police here tried to coordinate with Interpol with a doubt that he might be residing abroad.
But the godman stunned everyone by breaking the shocking news of starting a new nation and naming it Kailasa. Special currency was also picked for Kailasa and the Reserve Bank Of Kailasa was also set up.
