Kaleswaram Project created a record with execution of 17,722 cubic meters of Reinforced Cement-Concrete (RCC) Work at Medigadda barrage in a span of 24 hours, from 8 am on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday. By doing so, The record set by Polavaram Project early this year (16,368 cubic meters of Plain Cement-Concrete (PCC) work) has been broken by a good margin.

It is known that Kaleswaram happens to be the dream project of Telangana CM KCR. This Irrigation Project is aimed at proving Irrigation Water to 37 lakh acres in the state.

During the review meeting on December 22nd, KCR directed Irrigation Department to speed up the works related to Kaleswaram Project. Subsequently, Engineers and Contractors has increased the pace of execution at all the three barrages and five pump houses.

Chief Engineer of Kaleswaram Project N Venkateshwarlu disclosed 6,238 tonnes of Cement, 15,384 cubic meters of metal and 1,070 tonnes of steel were used to achieve the milestone.
