It's Official: Kamal Haasan is now Politician!
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Nov 2017 6:06 AM GMTKamal Haasan confirmed taking a plunge into the active politics at the function which marked 39th anniversary of his fan/welfare club. He informed the first move will be the launch of Mobile App on November 7th, on the eve of his 63rd Birthday.
The 'Viswaroopam' Star told Donations will be accepted from Fans for running the political party. He assures Mobile App will help maintaining proper records of the funds collected.
According to Kamal, The Country would be on the right path if the rich pay their taxes properly. 'There is nothing shameful about stretching hands for the welfare of the people,' he told.
On this birthday, Kamal Haasan decided not to cut the cake and celebrate due to the floods in Chennai. He stressed the need to take preventive measures rather than acting after the damage was done. 'Natural Disasters doesn't differentiate between rich and poor,' he added.
Kamal opined suppression has become a part of politics. He, however, believes what you are going to do is more important than how many people are threatening you. 'I am ready to take a beating but I'm not a 'mridangam' to get hit again and again,' told the Actor-turned-Politician.
