The much-awaited Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections are expected to be held in April this year. The Assembly elections are going to be a high-intense political battle. The political parties have already begun strategies to attract voters.

Months ahead of the Assembly elections, it is said that Actor-turned-politician, Makkal Needhi Maiam(MNM) chief Kamal Haasan is likely to contest from the Mylapore Assembly constituency.

Kamal Haasan started the MNM party back in 2018 and contested the Parliament elections a year later. However, his party has failed to leave a mark in the elections. The party has lost all the 37 seats.

Media reports claimed that Kamal Haasan has picked Mylapur as his constituency as this was the constituency that recorded high votes percentage in the 2019 Parliament elections.

One more reason cited by the media reports is, the Mylapore region enjoys a fair share of voters who hail from the upper-caste. This dimension might favour Universal Hero in the upcoming polls.

On the other hand, Sasikala's release from the prison is likely to make the elections a three-faced once. She is being termed as a deciding factor in the elections by political analysts.

Let us wait and see how well will the Universal Hero fare in the Assembly elections. We will get the answer to this in a few months from now.
