Kamal's suggestion on National Anthem!

Patriotism is a personal emotion. It is important for a citizen of a land to either respect the Anthem or not based on their individual preferences. But recently, Government has decided to make it compulsory to play National Anthem in Theatres before the show starts and few have been against this rule.
Supreme Court also recently said it is not compulsory for everyone to stand up and also quoted that respect should come within and not forced. Kamal Haasan who has been actively talking about politics and giving his own advice on issues, he said, "Like in Singapore, it is better if Government plays National Anthem at a particular time on Television and ask people to show their respect. Also, if this is in order to encourage patriotism in young generation then it is better to play it on Television than at films. Patriotism is not something you force on people."
Also, Aravind Swami opined the same regarding the issue. He said, "National Anthem shouldn't be a compulsion on citizens of any free country. If it is important to play National Anthem, then why restrict it for film theatres? Very Shopping Mall, playground and public place should play National Anthem on a particular time!"
