By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Oct 2017 10:48 AM GMTKamal Haasan's visit to Ennore Creek on Saturday came as a surprise for many. The visit was organized by Activist Nityanand Jayaraman who met the 'Viswaroopam' Star last week to discuss about the issues needed to be addressed before monsoons.
Before criticizing the State Government, Kamal Haasan wishes to obtain the first hand information about the ground reality. So, He came to Ennore Creek and interacted with the fisherman/locals who are a victim of ash pollution.
Later, Kamal Haasan slammed AIADMK Government for not focusing on a serious problem. 'Tamil Nadu Govt is turning a blind eye to dumping of effluents by power plants on Kosathaliyar creek. 1090 acre land lost to encroachment on Kosasthalaiyar creek. Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan petroleum too have oil terminals on wetlands,' he said.
Even before launching his political party, Kamal Haasan has begun speaking about the people's issues. This is why we need more selfless people to step into Politics.
