Union Government released a 27-page note on Saturday listing out the projects, national institutions and funds it sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh since bifurcation.

After the adjournment of Parliament till March 5th, Centre released Rs 1,269 crore to Andhra Pradesh under various projects. Out of it, Rs 417.44 crore is for Polavaram Project. So far, AP Government itself spent Rs 7,200 crore for Polavaram.

Rs 369.16 crore has been sanctioned in the form of revenue deficit grant. While Rs 253.74 crore were released as basic grant to urban local bodies, Rs 196.92 crore had been given for the anganwadi services scheme & supplementary nutrition programme. Rs 31.76 crore were offered for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme.

Speaking to media persons, AP BJP Chief Kambhampati Haribabu told Centre is committed to fulfill each and every promise offered to the state. 'Deficit Budget will be compensated. Over Rs 4,000 crore were offered so far for Polavaram. Package was introduced in place of Special Status. As ISRO raised objection for Durgapatnam Port, Centre directed State Government to prefer a different location for establishing the port. A Committee has been constituted for Visakha Railway Zone. It's because of the cooperation of centre, AP is able to get 24 hours power supply. So far, 6.8 lakh houses had been sanctioned through central-sponsored housing scheme,' he claimed.
