Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan's Tour to Uddanam has given hope for the people suffering from kidney ailments. AP Government has conducted a household survey in the region.
A Research Centre will be established in Sompeta on behalf of Indian Counsel of Medical Research (ICMR). Health Minister Kamineni Srinivasa Rao would meet PM Narendra Modi to bring to his notice about the seriousness of the issue. He will appeal Modi to set up ICMR Centre and co-operation to 19 dialysis centers in AP.
About 6 Teams have disclosed the kidney related diseases in Uddanam since 1982. The report will be handed over to Union Health Minister Jagath Prakash Nadda.
Around 800 Kidney patients from Ichapuram, Sompeta, Palasa, Mandasa and Kaviti have reached Sompeta Government Hospital. Speaking to media, Minister Kamineni informed: '6 mobile vehicles have been used for conducting tests. We will prepare a health profile of people in Uddanam within 4 months. 108 Vehicles will be used for free kidney tests. Dialysis Centers will be opened in Palasa and Sompeta within two months. People in 107 village of Uddanam are facing Kidney issues. Government is ready to bear all the expenses and find a permanent cure for the disease'.
