Kapu leaders want change in names of new districts!

Going by the election promise, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had added as many as 13 new districts in the state for easy administration. The newly made districts were named after celebrity people like Revolutionary Alluri Seetharama Raju, Hindu saint Annamayya and Telugu Desam Party(TDP) founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

The decision received mixed responses. While a section of people has extended support to the development and welcomed the same, a section of people has raised a few objections to the new names and placed a few demands before the government to change a few names.

Looking at the objections and demands to have new names for the districts, Ex-Minister who shot to super fame with Kapu movement Mudragada Padmanabham placed a demand before the government that Koanseema district's name should be changed and named after Balayogi.

Mudragada had multiple demands as far as the district's name issue is concerned. Besides Konaseema Mudragada Padmanabham also has a demand to have the name of Dr. B R Ambedkar for one of the two Godavari districts. Not just that, Mudragada also demanded that a district in Andhra Pradesh should be named after Tuluva dynasty ruler Krishnadevaraya.

Mudragada Padmanabham wants a change in the names of three districts in the state after prominent leaders from various fields. Demanding the same he had written to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Vangaveeti family member Vangaveeti Narendra also raised a few objections. Hours after the government named the newly made districts, Narendra opposed the name of Vijayawada district the other day.

The Andhra Pradesh BJP leader said that it is not appropriate to name late NTR's name to Vijayawada and demanded that the district should be named after Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga.
