AP Government has been conducting Social Media Summit and Awards since last year. Deepika Padukone arrived to Amaravati for receiving the honors in 2017. This year, Kareena Kapoor Khan is being invited for the awards ceremony. The event will be conducted by AP Government in association with Vibri Media on November 10th, 2018.
A section of media has been building the hype for Social Media Summit and Awards by projecting that it's gonna be the first trip of Kareena Kapoor to the AP Capital. What did AP gain from Deepika Padukone's first visit to Amaravati? Do we really need such publicity stunts?
TDP Government is yet to present the Nandi Awards it had announced for a period of three years (2014, 2015, 2016). The plan could be either to delay the event till February or March 2019 for the sake of elections. Or else, State Government might be fearing the negative reactions from the public or film personalities who had already termed them as 'Kamma Awards'.
